Thought of this yesterday as my parents are travelling overseas shortly, and they said they will have to self quarentine in a few months when they return. Mum said she has well over 100 sick days so she doesn't mind being forced to use them as they had planned this holiday years ago... That got me thinking, can this be exploited through the use of cheap flights? Work for the dole, nah mate I went to Bali on the weekend etc.

Ok, so I know this is going to go against the grain of what this subreddit is thinking, but exactly how will some families survive financially if schools close?
Say mum and dad have 2 kids in primary school, both who work minimum wage jobs eg. nurses, supermarkets, caregivers etc.
They literally only just make ends meet each week, and do not have a spare $200 to panic shop for food essentials.
Then their kids cannot go to school. But the parents work in fields that are vital for our community to continue. Jobs that cannot be done from home.
What do they do?
What is they don’t have family close to help them?
Do one of them leave their job? Use all their holiday and sick days?
I feel for these people. There are many of them and I know they’re worried.
Just looking at this from a different angle. Please don’t slam me.

Essentially, I'm an asthmatic. During the bushfires, I couldn't breathe through the plumes of smoke so I obviously spent some time off school. Now, with the coronavirus issue, I feel like a sitting duck at school just waiting for some snotty-nosed asshole to infect with a disease that has a higher potential to kill me rather than my friends. The threat right now isn't high enough to really take time off school or anything like that and I'm actually a bit conflicted with how to approach this situation. I live and go to school in the Illawarra NSW, so I'm under an hour away from Sydney and close to neighbouring schools with confirmed cases. With a population of over 1,000 students at my school, it wouldn't be a surprise to anyone that some kid caught the virus from the trains going to and from Sydney. I also have friends who have asthma who are concerned too. How can I appropriately go about this situation?
By the way with my low attendance from the bushfires and other mental health issues I have to up my attendance in order to receive my HSC qualification, any more time off school without the school shutting down would mean I am risking my entire HSC.
Everything sucks. I can't even share vix inhalers with my friends anymore :/

All the casinos in the world have close.
Yet the crown group remains open. Well done crown. You've just written your death knell.
