Are they bees, are they wasps?
I’ve noticed a lot of them lately around Altona. They’re smaller than the normal honey bees, kind of flat and seem to hover a bit and fly in sharp turns (like a dragonfly would)
Every time I go to weed my garden I put it off because those buggers are loitering around

Ash Barty one win away from perfect end to year — and a gigantic payday http://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-11-03/ash-barty-one-win-away-from-perfect-end-to-year/11667064
Good on her too. She's a gutsy player.

EDIT: I am not Michael West nor part of his team, just trying to get the word out about what I believe is a real avenue for change against a huge and increasing problem in this country. I have been a monthly contributor to his independent site and efforts since he left SMH and took up the fight for proper investigative journalism against corruption. I am also not affiliated with GetUp but do donate to some of their campaigns.
There is a high level of awareness and no small amount of angst / complaning on this site with respect to the levels of government corruption we face in this country.
Michael West – one of Australia’s best independent investigative reporters (see his body of work here https://www.michaelwest.com.au/) is teaming up with GetUp to build a independently researched, run and and freely accessible database on government corruption and needs support from as many Australians who still G-A-F.
I know GetUp isn’t for everyone and there’s valid criticism about some of the things that they focus on but they are really just a promotional channel and it’s MWest and his team that you’re really funding and supporting, so I’d encourage reddit punters here to grit your teeth if you need to and consider if you can fund this. And also share the michael west site and purpose with your own friends / family and networks.
