Hello all. On the Sunshine Coast, QLD and building a new home. Looking at solar power options. I am looking at a 6.6Kw/5Kw inverter system.
I have a few questions:
- Is there a big difference in quality and efficiency between a premium inverter (Fronius) versus an entry level inveter (Solis)?
- Is there a big difference in quality and efficiency between a premium solar panel (LG) versus an entry level solar panel (astronergy)?
My builder is offering a deal at the moment where we get the solar system for free but the solar company get all the credits for 5 years. After 5 years the system is mine - what's the catch?
Thank you!

Title speaks for itself. I was pretty surprised over the weekend to get my bill after a catch-up with some mates and noticed I’d been charged a 10% Sunday surcharge. Normally don’t overly care about paying these, but:
- it was in bullshit fine print on the bottom of the menu
- they’ve currently in court for underpaying (read: stealing) their staff
Either way, I’ve submitted a complaint to the ACCC about how the surcharge is displayed, but in the context of their existing wage theft it’s just a scum move - they won’t be getting my business anymore.

Hey guys, Bought a cheapo pair of sunglasses online. Does anyone know of any places that do UV testing to make sure the sunglasses actually do their job ?

Hi everyone! My son has to prepare a typical Australian meal for 30 of his classmates. As we live in Mexico, we do not have the slightest clue of what this meal might be. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
