I received a pair of RB2140's as a gift, and while I love their classic shape and fit, they seem to act as an Archimedes death ray for my eye balls. If I am not facing into the sun (i.e. when I am walking away from the sun) the shape of the lenses reflects peripheral sunlight and focuses it straight back into my eyes.
Am I missing something here? Surely there are others who have experienced this as they are one of the most iconic pair of sunglasses ever made, so there must be millions of people wearing them globally. It's borderline painful.
I would like to use them as my daily wears, but I'm actually concerned about the amount of sunlight my eyes will cop with them on. Especially now that summer is approaching fast and the UV will be as extreme as ever in SEQ.
Anyway, I thought I'd give everyone a heads up before going out and spending $$$ on a pair. Try them first and see how your retina's fare up before committing to them.
