I recently moved into a place that needed a more robust modem than the one I had. So I got a Telstra smart modem gen 1 off a friend. It works and the range suits me fine, but for some reason, the NAT is strict 'double NAT' and I can't for the life of me work out why or how to change it.
I've checked and uPnP is enabled and the table in that section is listing UDP with the LAN/WAN port match up with the IP settings (under Advanced Settings) of my Xbox.
It's also plugged into an ethernet port.
I have NBN if that helps. A newer installation and all the cords hooking up the devices are new and high quality. Internet works. The NAT is the only issue as some of my games won't allow multiplayer with it on strict and I suspect some of the multiplayer issues I've had are because of this.
Testing NAT gets : Double NAT detected
NAT Type is down as strict.
Any idea what I can do to fix this?
