Hi,
I'm finishing my thesis on the 25th of October, the day the climb closes. It's always been a goal of mine to climb the rock, but I guess it is not to be for now.
I've seen a bunch of people talking about several other similar Monoliths within the central desert area, noting that Ayres rock isn't particularly special in its geological significance. I'd still really like to climb something when I go to the central desert area so I'm looking for a suitable alternative to go to.
It doesn't have to be as big or as accessible, I'm just interested in seeing the various rockpools and caves that form on the top and the sides of such a monument. The similar the better in that regard.
Anyone know of any? Be it a tourist attraction or completely off the beaten track, I don't really mind as long as I can access it legally with a 4wd.

Booked a local fencing company to do our fence.. told us they would need 3 days and would be arriving at 8:00am each day..
Day 1 they arrive at 10:00am, Day 2 11:30am, Day 3 12:30pm, Day 4 (today) they did not even arrive AT ALL even though they told us they would be here at 11:00am to FINISH the job (somehow)
Texted the guy and haven't had a reply in 4 hours.
I swear some tradies have brains made of custard and XXXX.
Is this typical tradie standards?
We are paying 5k total for the job btw. And the quality looks fairly good so no issue there, just absolutely poor organization from them.
Waited around all day and nothing. Pathetic.

Can anyone help me figure out how I would travel from Brisbane, QLD to Tweed Heads South, NSW via public transport (not a regional train, just like buses and normal trains)?

I have uploaded the album "The Magical Room" by "The Exploding Sausages", an Australian kids cassette released in 1990 to raise money for the Royal Guide Dogs Association of Australia. All songs written and performed by Andy Sorenson, artwork by Tom Vogel:

I think it's a really good album and my kids love it too. I know that u/LeverHundar asked about this album about 5 years ago on r/nostalgia, and u/Lonelysock2 asked about it here a year ago, hopefully they are still active and see this post.
A friend of mine still had the cassette which he recorded into his PC, I tidied up the audio as best I could and got someone to fix up the artwork. The result came out really well! If you had a listen and enjoyed it, please consider donating to the guide dogs association of Australia: http://guidedogsaustralia.com

I plan to get advice on Monday but I am hoping someone here is a lawyer and knows how the DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) and renting in NSW applies, specifically in relation to rental inspections - does an agent need to accommodate a disabled person under the DDA? For example if the disability is a serious illness and the person is bed bound and unable to o a specific inspection date can the agent enter anyway? Or is this a breach of the DDA (failing to accommodate the disability).
