Bharatpur is also known as Lohagarh Fort. It is also known as the "Opening Gate" and "Eastern Gate" of the state Rajasthan. Bharatpur is situated 178 KM far from Jaipur in the east direction and 180 KM far from New Delhi in the south direction and Agra (Uttar Pradesh) is just 55 KM far from Bharatpur in the west direction and Mathura (Uttar Pradesh) is also 38 KM far from Bharatpur.
Bharatpur is the only state in India that never defeat from anyone then Bharatpur gets the title of Lohagarh, which means the iron fort which cannot be destroyed (Loha= Iron and Garh= Fort).
Bharatpur was the capital of Jats until India gets independence. The two kings of Bharatpur are very famous, those are Maharaja Surajmal and Maharaja Jawahar Singh.
Maharaja Surajmal took his army at Delhi for war and he defeats the army of Mughal King Ahmed Saha Bahadur and occupied the Red Fort at 1754 AD.
