Bit of a short post. Just got knocked back from NDIS after applying ~ Feb for, among other things, brain cancer surgery.
I currently can barely walk due to vertigo, have fair chunk of pain etc etc. I was hoping for NDIS for things like garden maintenance which I know is one service I had heard others use.
But I'm not eligible because I have treatment options available. Specifically, I might have radiotherapy option for my malignant brain cancer. The brain cancer that has shown significant growth in the last few months that'll, I'm guessing here, kill me in the next 12-24months... The radiotherapy that won't cure it, but maybe slow it down.
That stops the NDIS from helping me out because I'm not fully treated apparently.
Fucking red tape I swear.

Mrs is stuck at Brisbane airport. Apparently everyone is being checked-in manually and it's a bit chaotic. Flight to Melbs delayed by almost 2 hours :(

I'm looking for a tool to help plan senate voting below the line, does anybody have any suggestions?
I know there's clueyvoter, but it doesn't let you directly order the groups, only lump them into 5 categories which then end up being ordered by their group's position on the ballot paper as far as I can tell. That's not much good, because then you end up with a huge amount of candidates that need reordering.
Senate.io used to be good because it let you drag and drop the groups around to the order you wanted and from memory it would then allow you to adjust the individual candidates from there, but doesn't seem to have been updated since 2013.
I'm sure there's at least a couple more of these type of things, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Anyone else notice how much Reddit content ends up on Channel 10's The Project? Seems they can't afford a journalist, or a credit to the Reddit source each time they 'borrow' content.

For those who have declared bankruptcy in Australia: How has it affected your life after it's over? Do you regret it?
Basically title. Surprisingly hard to find personal accounts but found a site or two saying that you can end up being denied utilities or rentals so I'm curious how this played out for people IRL.
