Hi! Maybe you heard about the mystery here in Norway,- in November 1970 a woman was found dead in a valley called Isdalen, near the city Bergen. She had been travelling around Europe for months using 8 fake names. Her real identity and what she was doing in Norway is still unknown. This case has become part of Norwegian criminal folklore, and has gained renewed interest in the last years, after new investigation was done. The most important is an isotope analysis of her teeth. That shows birth in southern Germany around 1930+/- 4 years,- approximatly.
As a child she has moved to north-east France.
Witnesses here in Norway say she spoke french, german, and a third language that might be flemish. (But that is uncertain).
She entered Norway with a french passport. She also maybe had a belgian passport. In registration forms she used mostly belgian references.
She had a french lettering type. So she probably learned to write in a french speaking country/area.
My hope is that someone remembers her. They are probably quite old now. And we don't know where they are to be found, as we don't know where and when she connected strongest to other people. Germany, France and Benelux stand out. But Switzerland and Italy shall not be forgotten. If you know anything about unsolved disappereances in the beginning of the 70s, and there might be a match with this unknown woman, thanks a lot for letting me know !
Here are the fake names she used :
Vera Schlosseneck, Claudia Tielt, Alexia Zarna-Merchez, Finella Lorck, Geneviève Lancier, Vera Jarle, Claudia Nielsen and Elisabeth Leenhouwer.
Here is an article from the Norwegian broadcasting company NRK (in english) that gives an overview:
