This post is related to Donations:
Hey Guys,
These are trying times for Sri Lanka, I myself am a founder of a startup and we've banded together to get some money through to the people who are in need.
Sri Lanka United is a collective of startup founders. We want to help Sri Lanka heal and bounce back from the deadly bombings on Easter. As tech entrepreneurs, we want to use our skills to help seek funding and ensure it gets to where it’s needed. By doing so, we aim to help rebuild the churches and the lives of the victims of these devastating attacks.
There's been issues in the past where people have run off with the money that is given as charity but we will stake our reputations as well as have complete transparency with how the funds will be utilized (more info at the website)
If you'd like to help, please take a second to either let someone you know know about this (word of mouth, drop them a link, whatevs we appreciate all the help we can get) or donate, please follow the
link. Check out our
IG and our
Tweetbird.
More background: As the events were unfolding, we in the startup community watched in horror. We've got a neat little Whatsapp group with the founders where we keep each other updated on the going ons and through this, while getting updates, we quickly sprung to action to help in however way we can. So the quick thinking entrepreneurs we are, made the decision that rather sitting on the sidelines we are going to get upfront and do something. Armed with VPNs and hella grit,
Sri Lanka United was born.
If you guys need anymore info, ask, or check the link. We really need all the help we can get!
