I've just bought a secondhand car, a 2002 v5 bora, an old car, for a about $3000.
I've currently insured the car with a third party insurance with AAMI, and I'm paying about $700 annually. I didn't get the third party fire and theft ($800) or comprehensive ($1500), because I don't think it's worth it considering that my car is not worth that much in the first place, and the extreme amount of excess that the insurance company will charge me.
My total is excess is around $1500 currently because I'm below 25, and I'm still on my Ps.
I'm currently still in the cool-off period so I still have a chance to ammend my contract.
Cheers.

I have a learning disability. It has effected me my entire life. At age 26 I decided to do my year 12 again and have failed twice. I’m currently on my third attempt and living off Austudy. It’s $550 a fortnight. Due to my disability I need to live in a quiet area with my girlfriend. Our rent is $320 a week.
My income per week is $275 a week. Which goes: 160 rent 10 electricity 5 phone 20 Petrol 5 medication 15 basketball 11.95 gym = $49
I live on $49 a week not including food which is $7 a day. I am in the process of applying for disability pension but will likely be refused or will take 6-18 months. I have lived on less than $20,000 a year for my whole life. My car is broken down and needs $2500 worth of repairs. I can’t afford new clothes.
I’m a genuine person having a good crack at trying to better myself and my life. I had a terrible childhood and yet because of my disability I can’t better myself and the limited support from Austudy is not enough.
The sad part is that I’m sure there are others like me. I have avoided a disability payment my whole life because I think it’s a cop out and terrible for self esteem.
I see a psychiatrist regularly for my problems but I feel like this life is not worth living. Not from an emotional standpoint, but a logical one. I’m so sick of living with no money, I work as much as I am capable of. I do everything I can to do better. Meanwhile I see people complaining that wages of $45k a year are too low. Or dole bludgers that are drug addicts. I would kill for just $25k a year that would be a luxury to me.

Tried some recently as they were at a friend's for their kids, and they are so nostalgic!
I googled where to get Burger Man snacks and the top results are all people asking on reddit where to buy them. So I thought I would put this out there.

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue, and how they fixed it.
I've been trying to get youth allowance as I'm studying full time and living away from my parents home, but when I go to mygov->centrelink ->make a claim I get kicked back to the mygov page. I've tried getting rid of my cache and cookies, I've tried different computers, wifi from different places, incognito mode and the obvious logging out and in again. No luck.
Because I'm studying+working my time to go physically sit in a centrelink and deal with this in person is extremely limited, so it would be far better to manage this online, but it just seems broken as hell right now.
Anyone else experiencing this?

I don't know how to Reddit format but that's a screenshot of the text conversation relating to the title. I also don't know if this is the right place to put it, but I reside in Australia so this was the only community that I knew of that came to mind.
Basically the gist of it is that I have two shifts at another place for only this Saturday and next Saturday. At my "regular job" (where I get put on the roster weekly, this place I rarely work at, at most five shifts a year), I generally only work Sundays, usually three to four hours a week and the ever rare five hours+.
I did state my availability for anytime anyday during the week, until I started University (which I told him about so he knows I am unavailable to work during those times). My concern is that if this does escalate or something, do I have reasons to be concerned for my position at work being in doubt? And I just also want to know your take on me not being able to work at all during the week because I have one shift elsewhere.
The above information is all that should really be needed, but I'll just expand more on my work sorta thing here. During the weekdays, only three people are put on which are the senior staff members almost every time with a few rotations between one or two other workers. This changes on the weekends where more people work, I RARELY work a Saturday, infact to my memory I can count the number of times I have worked a Saturday on two hands for the entire 12~ months I've been working at this business. To be completely honest though, I mentioned my availability to work Saturdays about six or so months in, give or take a month or whatever.
Still though, from my rough estimation that's about 6/7ish times over a period of roughly six months. At the start of December we had a change in ownership, a new boss if you will, to which is the person I was messaging in the screenshot. From time to time my boss has people from another place of his come to work at the establishment I work at, giving them additional hours when I was perfectly capable of filling in (availability-wise, I'm not gonna toot my own horn and say I'm great at my job, the best I think I can say is I'm perfectly capable skill-wise and all that). Then just end of January or whatever, a 14 or something year old was hired to replace a worker that was fired recently, she worked every single weekday to like learn the job or something in her first week and now works both Saturdays and Sundays receiving about 10-13hrs a week.
Based off all of this hopefully relevant information that I've given you guys, what do you think should my next course of action should be? I am adamant on staying at the job until I find another place ( I have been applying, no luck though) to quit on my own terms. I don't think my boss has any plausible reason to fire/lay me off so unless I fuck up I may be able to stay a while, plus the longer I work at this place the better it'll look for my resume ( I think).
So yeah any help is appreciated!
TL;DR what should my next course of action be depending on any possible scenarios, and can I be laid off?
