On completion of a cert III in disability support what kind of work can you do?
I know that some companies have you driving all over the place and you take clients out into the public for various reasons?
And that there are also group homes and I think they are called "day services" as well? like places where, well I assume it is kind if like a daycare center for adults with disabilities and the support workers run programs to teach them things and make them feel good about themselves and so on?
Is this correct or am I way off?
I am afraid of being pushed into a disability job where I am driving from client to client 5 days a week just not what I am looking for, much rather prefer working at a facility where I can become familiar with everyone and help run programs.
I have seen places like house with no steps who have these large buildings where they say on the website that they run activities and help people learn and grow and to me that sounds exactly what I would want to be a part of, but I can't seem to find much info on this as the jobs on seek and indeed are often quite vague and ask that you must be able to use your own car frequently.
Any info about this would be helpful guys!
