Hello, my internet was hacked recently, where whoever gained access somehow used up 10 terabytes of data in less than 24 hours. I contacted Telstra and was on the phone with your standard Indian bloke who seemed to just constantly read from his little customer service handbook and never actually helped me.
Basically, in the Telstra Gateway, I have managed to identify a device which is connected to my wi-fi that doesn't belong to me or anyone else in the house. After changing the password to the wifi, the device is still there, and I want to remove it before it does anymore damage to me.
My question is, on the Telstra Gateway, how do I remove a device on the list? I cannot find the option to do so.
Thanks in advance,
EDIT: Apologies, it was 1001331MB (1TB), not 10TB
EDIT: Thanks to
Watty162I found a way to block the device from the router. Even though I couldn't delete it, the ability to block it has made me feel a bit more at ease.Just had to go to
Advance settings > Right click the settings icon on the wifi (top right) > Mac Filter > Select device or type in MAC number > Block all access > restart
Cheers
