Hi fellow Aussie Redditors!
I need advice.
I am flying to Cape Town (South Africa) in a month and I am trying to figure out the best way to change money.
option 1) Travel money card issued from bank [CBA in my case]. This one looks like it's got some nasty fees (because South Africa is not listed as one of their currency-loading countries)
option 2) change AUD cash into ZAR cash - which is probably the worst idea - because those currency converters take such a big cut.
option 3) Travelex Travel Money Card. This one also has some hefty conversion fees and transaction fees.
I am lost. Has anyone gone from Australia to South Africa before/recently? Any advice?
