VietPress USA (Mar. 12, 2018): There are two explosions blasted Black people homes today on Monday, March 12, 2018.
The first explosion in Austin, Texas caused a 39 year-old Black man dead on March 2nd, 2018.
The second explosion just blasted today morning on Monday, March 12, 2016 left a 17 year-old Black teenager dead and injured another Blach woman.
The third explosion just blasted today afternoon in Austin Texas that injured critically another 75 year-old Blach woman.
Austin, Texas, city Police Chief Brian Manley said Monday at a news conference that all the explosions occurred when people who lived at the residences went outside and picked up packages. The packages were not delivered by the postal service or delivery services like UPS or FedEx, he said. These packages put outside the doors of African-American's houses.
"The evidence makes us believe these incidents are related," Police Chief Brian Manley said, saying investigators have not come up with a motive or whether anybody has claimed responsibility. It's not known if the victims knew each other or if they were targeted, he said.
Police also have not decided if these are hate crimes, but said that's a possibility because of the victims' races.
Police Chief Brian Manley urges residents that "If you've received a package that has been left on your doorstep or left in your yard or left on your driveway that you were not expecting or that was not from someone you know, then give us a call".
